Folios 291-292: Gordon Falcon, HMS Cyane, Quebec. Captain Francis Kempt Principal Agent for Transports having by letter of 8 June 1814 and 10 June 1814 represented to show the advantage it would be to Government could the convoy intended to sail on the 10 June 1814 be detained until 15 June 1814. He has to acquaint the Admiralty that taking into consideration the saving to Government could these vessels be dispatched by the first convoy.
Folio 293: enclosure with folios 291-292. Letter dated 10 June 1814 by Francis Kempt, Quebec, to Gordon Falcon, HMS Cyane. Reply to yours dated 9 June 1814, the Admiral Gambier, Simpson and Lord St Helens Transports are at the rate of 25s a Ton per Month, there aggregate tonnage 1134 tons which cost Government per month £1392 10s is the reason at which the Victuallers to proceed to England.
