Folios 285-286: Arthur Farquhar, HMS Liverpool, Spithead. Acknowledges receipt of letter dated 1 September 1814 acquainting him that in consequence of his order of 13 November 1813 to Lieutenant John Campbell Crawford of HMS Wrangler which directed him to convey to the Weser the four Officers:- Mr Suter (Admiral [Thomas Francis] Fremantle's secretary with Dispatches), Colonel Sir Henry Sullivan Bart. going to join the Army, Major Kraucharburg[?] of the German Legion Dragoons and Captain Thomas Muchall[?] of the Russian Army with Dispatches. It has been recommended that a sum of Five pounds should be allowed to Lieutenant John Campbell Crawford for the entertainment of each of these persons and that these sums be charged to him. He wishes to point out that these Officers were charged with Government Dispatches to or from Heligoland and the Rivers Elba and Weser.
