Description

Folios 265-266: Matthew Forster, Berwick. States he is returned from the examination of Surgeons at Edinburgh. He was four days on the road getting there and back. Has to lament that the documents he had forwarded to the Admiralty were not sent to Edinburgh. Both his bodily health and wounds are worse than when he was examined last Tuesday.

Folios 267-268: enclosure with folios 265-266. [Admiralty Note:-] Has not Captain Forster had expenses for this Board, which he received in 1805 [....] Dated 27 August 1814. I do not find that Captain Forster has a Pension perhaps Mr Finla[...?] can state whether any thing has passed on the public.

Folios 269-270: enclosure with folios 265-266. Certificate signed by:- Alexander[?] Kellock - MD, Ralph Patterson - Surgeon & J Stevenson - Surgeon, Berwick. Dated 3 August 1814.

Folios 271-272: enclosure with folios 265-266. Testimonial respecting the wounds of Captain Matthew Forester. Dated 27 August 1814.

Folios 273-274: enclosure with folios 265-266. Memorial of Captain Matthew Forester. Dated 24 August 1814

Folios 275-276: enclosure with folios 265-266. William Nepecher[?], Surgeon, Royal Hospital, Deal. Report on Captain Matthew Forester of HMS Calypso who was brought into the Hospital on 19 July 1805 for Hurt received in action on the French Coast the preceding day. Dated 16 February 1806.
