Folios 251-252: Matthew Forster, Berwick. Agreeable to Colonel St Pauls letter, he forwards the certificate of his state of health for the last four weeks. Also he encloses a statement from Deal Hospital which he carried with him to Surgeons Hall in March 1806 where the wound was examined some months after it had first closed. At Surgeons Hall it was suggested he might in time be fit for employment. Has since commanded HMS Majestic and HMS Unicorn. He had formerly been First Lieutenant of HMS St Albans and the Admiral, without his knowledge, applied for him as his Flag Captain in the North Seas.
