Folios 228-230: Edward Flin, HMS Cephalus, Leghorn Roads. Having learned that Captain Arthur Stow late of HMS Swallow is promoted to the command of a new 74 [gun] ship captured at the reduction of Genoa. He also observes with pleasure the promotion of some of the Lieutenants to the rank of Commanders who were placed under his directions at the reduction of Genoa and Port St Mary's in the Gulf of Spezia. [Goes on to gives reasons why he feels he should receive a promotion].
