Folios 177-178: Arthur Farquhar, HMS Desire, Harwich. Has spoken to Captain Slaughter and Willes as to why they entered Harbour but they do not appear to be damasged by running aground.
Folios 179-180: enclosure with folios 177-178. Letter dated 5 June 1813 by George Willes, HMS Leveret, Harwich to Captain Farquhar. He was ordered to land at Harwich by Admiral Robert Murray. His Master, who is one of the Harwich Pilots, took the ship to where he used to anchor and he was not aware that this had now been changed. The ship suffered no damage from being aground.
Folios 181-182: enclosure with folios 177-178. Letter dated 5 June 1813 by William Slaughter, HMS Archer, Harwich to Captain Farquhar. As he had not been in Harwich before, he asked the Pilot to go to a safe place.
