Folios 226-227: Edward James Foote, HMS Sea-horse [Seahorse], Falmouth Harbour. Because at noon the winds changed to South-Southwest, he thought it prudent to bring the Mediterranean Convoy into Falmouth rather than be forced to run for Torbay where they would interfere with the Channel Fleet. Twenty-nine vessels have joined from Falmouth. When he changed course the West India Convoy was nine miles further South. There is only one vessel joining that convoy from Falmouth, and it should be able to get clear of the harbour in the prevailing winds.
