Folios 218-219: Edward James Foote, HMS Sea-horse [Seahorse], Spithead. Reports that Landsman Edward Keate is asking to be discharged from the service, as when he previously worked in a brass foundry he was supporting his mother and several younger children. Keate is willing to find another man to serve in his place, and Captain Foote thinks this would be to the advantage of the service.
