Folios 212-213: enclosed with folios 210-211. Letter dated 30 November 1800 from Lieutenant John Marshall, HMS Seahorse, Spithead, to the Admiralty. Asks to be appointed to a ship going to Jamaica, or failing that, to be allowed to take passage to there in hopes of finding a ship. The Surgeon has recommended the climate of that island to help cure the complaint he is currently suffering from, and all of his family also live there. It is only these circumstances which induce him to wish to give up his appointment in the Seahorse.
