Folios 265-266: Edward James Foote, HMS Niger, Sheerness. Acknowledges letter giving directions that the seamen belonging to HMS Niger who were taken in a Prize, landed at Hastings, and then on board the La Pique should be forwarded to their proper ship. As since received a letter from Mr Maxwell, Admiral Sir Peter Parker stating that the men have been transferred from La Pique to HMS Plover bound to the Downs. Requests that the men are brought to HMS Niger by land because if they are sent to the Nore they may be prevented in doing so.
