Folios 253-255: Edward James Foote, HMS Niger at Spithead. Reports receiving a letter from Mr Wodehouse, Midshipman of HMS Niger, and prize master of the Spanish ship Santa Theresa, informing him that on 13 April he was captured by Labourer Furette French privateer, whose Coammnder on the 15 April, put him and all his crew (except two) on board an American ship bound to London, who landed them at Hastings on the 19 April. Wodehouse added that he will make his way to join HMS Niger at Spithead. Foote asks for orders to direct these men to HMS Niger as soon as possible.
