Folios 225-228: Henry Festing, HMS Nimble, Spithead. Is sending a paper delivered to him by the Captain of the Imprompter privateer which he had concealed with a view of Festing soliciting his parole. The prisoner's orders were to run through the Needles as a fishing smack, make observations on the Fleet and coast. Adds details of the number of men on the privateer and that he will get rid of the prisoners today and proceed with his convoy to the Downs. On behalf of the Collector of Customs of Dartmouth whether the Hawke smuggling vessel has a licence.
