Folios 221-222: Solomon Ferris, HMS Inflexible at the Nore. Requests the return of 20 of the best seamen from HMS Inflexible lent to HMS Nonsuch to assist in navigating her round to the Humber. On return to the Humber the men were told that they would be immediately transferred to HMS Inflexible and not to take anyting except their beds and a clean shirt. However these men have been detained and they Northampton longer wish to stay on HMS Nonsuch. Ferris asks for their return as they have suffered a great deal for want of their cloaths.
Folios 223-224: enclosure with folios 221-222. Petition dated 26 November 1797 by seamen of HMS Inflexible on board HMS Nonsuch complaining about their situation.
