Folios 242-243: Edward James Foote, HMS Tartar, Plymouth Sound. William Irvine, who came from HMS Royal William, has informed him that he deserted from the 99th Regiment 2 years ago at Cork when he went by the name of William Hughes, but now wishes to avail himself of the offer of a pardon to any deserter who gives himself up. He asks for directions as to what to do with the man.
