Folios 259-260: Edward James Foote, HMS Thorn, Yarmouth Road. Reports his return to Yarmouth Road to collect supplies, leaving HMS Resolution with the fishing vessels. These are unarmed, and often 20 or more leagues from each other, therefore he is concerned that despite his best efforts, they could be attacked without his knowledge. Encloses the state and condition of HMS Thorn [and a printed copy of the Regulations regarding Salutes].
Folio 261-262: enclosure in folios 259-260. Printed copy of Orders issued by the King in Council on 15 March 1793 concerning paying and returning Salutes.
Folio 263: enclosure in folios 259-260. State and Condition report of HMS Thorn dated 15 May 1794, prepared by Captain Edward James Foote.
