Folios 228-229: Augustus FitzRoy, HMS Pomona, the Nore. Reports he arrived from Yarmouth Roads on 13 November 1794, having boarded 2 Danish ships which had also been boarded by 4 English frigates south west of the Texel. Sailing with HMS Aurora, gales seriously damaged HMS Pomona, so that only HMS Aurora reached the place to which both ships had been ordered by Vice Admiral Peyton. In his weekly report which has been delivered to Vice Admiral Dalrymple, he has recommended that HMS Pomona is looked at, as she is very leaky in her decks and topsides, and her recent caulking has had no effect. He is apprehensive that many of her timbers will be found defective.
