Folios 224-225: Augustus FitzRoy, HMS Pomona, Spithead. Reports that James Donaldson, Boatswain of HMS Pomona, has been 36 years in His Majesty's service, 17 years as Boatswain of the sloops HMS Scourge, HMS Ariel and HMS Lynx, and also serving on HMS Mermaid, HMS Lapwing and HMS Maidstone. He has become unfit for the position of Boatswain due to having been wounded, and other infirmities, and FitzRoy requests that a speedy order is sent for him to be surveyed, as HMS Pomona is almost ready for sea.
