Folios 222-223: Augustus FitzRoy, HMS Pomona. Leostoft [Lowestoft]. Reports they sailed from Helvoetsluys with the Right Honorable William Windham [Wyndham] and his attendants the previous day. HMS Pilote (Brig) left 25 September [1794], and is detained by contrary winds. He has asked her Commander to accompany the transports that were intended for Spithead, to the Downs. He intended to have protected Lieutenant Gunter's convoy whilst they sailed in the same direction, but the tide on 2 October 1794 prevented him doing so. They must be in the Downs now, and once he has landed Mr Windham, he will fulfil the orders received from Vice Admiral Peyton to return to the Downs.
