Folios 220-221: Augustus FitzRoy, HMS Pomona, Helvoetsluys. Reports he arrived that morning from the Downs and has landed the Rt Hon. Mr Wyndham as ordered. Vice Admiral Peyton has ordered him to proceed off Ostend to join HMS Mermaid, but a SW wind is preventing the Pomona from sailing. Captain Craven, Admiralty agent at Helvoetsluys, requested him to take the handposts, expecting him to be sailing to Spithead, but he has not in case he is detained. 6 Dutch men of war are at the port: Wafsnaer, Brakel, Pollux, Ceres, Cotter planter, De Brake, with 64, 56, 44,l 36, 16 and 16 guns respectively.
