Description

Folios 590-591: Thomas Dundas, HMS Ganges, Downs. Covering letter for the enclosed letter from Lieutenant William Guthrie of HMS Ganges. States that no quarrel or dispute has taken place between him and me and that he has no objection to his request. Requests the appointment of Lieutenant Hugh Montgomery of HMS Aboukir to replace him.

Folios 592-593: enclosure with folios 590-591. Letter dated 11 December 1810 by William Guthrie, 1st Lieutenant, HMS Ganges, Downs, to Thomas Dundas, HMS Ganges. Request to be superceded in HMS Ganges to enable him to deal with private matters on shore.
