Description

Folios 529-530: Archibald Collingwood Dickson, HMS Orion, Downs. Reporting arrival having sailed with the Convoy from Gottenburg [Gothenburg] on 2 November 1810. Encloses a list of the convoy [not included], a copy of his orders [included] and a copy of a letter from him addressed to the Commander in Chief [included].

Folios 531-532: enclosure with folios 529-530. Letter dated 5 November 1810 by Archibald Collingwood Dickson, HMS Orion, at Sea [Position given], to Admiral Sir James Saumarez. On 2 November 1810 he received the List of Convoy from Captain Robert Campbell of HMS Stately. [Two plus sides of text. Details of part of the voyage, mentions HMS Hebe, HMS Alert, HMS Gluckstadt, HMS Manly, Fourteen sail of Convoy].

Folios 533-534: enclosure with folios 529-530. Letter dated 2 November 1810 by Sir James Saumarez Bart. KB, HMS Victory, Hawke Roads, to Sir Archibald Collingwood Dickson Bart, HMS Orion. Orders having received a List of Convoy from Captain Robert Campbell of HMS Stately, to take the Convoy under his protection to England.
