Folios 223-224: Ross Donnelly, HMS Narcissus, Cape of Good Hope. He refers to monies that were advanced to the Consul at Algiers. it seems however that the drafts sent to his agent Mr Goode by way of reimbursement for these monies have been deemed non negotiable. As he is in no position to communicate with Algiers he asks the Admiralty to find some means of ensuring payment. He encloses a receipt for the ninety seven Spanish dollars that were spent and asks that payment is made expeditiously to his agent.
Folio 225-226: enclosure with folios 223-224. Signed by a Isaac Ben Samon on account of the Algerian Government and dated Algiers September 1804. It acknowledges receipt of 97 Spanish dollars for landing charges and the hire of a dragoman and other servants.
