Folios 188-189: Cooke and Halford, 41 Norfolk Street, London. The letter, which is addressed to the Admiralty, encloses a Commission from Sir Edward Pellew dated 29 August appointing Hugh Dobbie presently Commander of HM Receiving Ship and Sheer Hulk Arrogant, to be Captain of HMS Fox. They ask the Admioralty to confirm the commission.
Folios 190-191: enclosure with folios 188-189. A commission dated 29 August 1805 from Sir Edward Pellew, Rear Admiral and Commander in Chief of HM ships and vessels in the East Indies and addressed to William Dobbie presently commanding HMS Arrogant. The commission directs him to take charge as Captain of HMS Fox.
