Folios 170-171: Stephen Thomas Digby, HMS Argo, Sierra Leone. He announces his arrival and also of HMS Arab. Both were forced to anchor here in order to pick up water. HMS Arab has now sailed on. He writes that following the death of both Mr Joseph Perham, a gunner and Mr Archibald Cummings the carpenter on his ship he has appointed Mr Robert Stafford and Mr James Smith respectively in their place. Both are from HMS Arab. In return he has sent John Thompson as a gunner and John Jones, a carpenter to HMS Arab in their stead. He encloses (not enclosed) the report of HMS Argo's State and Condition of Repair.
