Folios 147-148: Stephen Thomas Digby, HMS Vestal, the Downs. He reports that his Purser, Mr John Derrell, has absented himself without leave, thus causing general inconvenience particularly to one of his colleagues. He suggests that Mr Woodward Wilson, presently Captain Digby's clerk, for the position. He sayes he has served as his clerk for over 7 years, including in the recent wars and so he recommends him to Lord Keith and the Admiralty for a Purser's Warrant. .
