Folios 517-518: John Drew, HMS Cerberus, Cork Harbour. Reports that on 12 November in Latitude 49º 48' North, Longitude 22º 18' West, he captured the French privateer [l'Episvier ?] carrying 16 guns and a crew of 145. On the next day he recaptured the Adelphi from Quebec bound for London and captured by the Episvier. On the following day he recaptured another privateer, the Renard of 18 guns and 120 crew. He later chased the Bonaparte of 32 guns and 250 men, but carried away several sails and the Main Topgallant mast which allowed the Bonaparte to escape, albeit with considerable damage. Because she threw almost everything overboard during the chase, believes she would have to return to France. All three ships were seeking to intercept the Quebec trade.
