Folios 514-515: John Drew, HMS Cerberus, the Hamoaze. The bearer of his letter is Noble Barron, Gunner of the Cerberus, who was injured in a fall while chasing a privateer and is now unfit for duty. Asks that he be passed at the Admiralty as this will help support his wife and family.
Folio 516: enclosure with folios 514-515. Letter from Noble Barron, Royal Hospital, Plymouth, to the Admiralty dated 15 September 1797. The medical opinion of his injuries was sent to the Admiralty some weeks ago but there has been no reply. Asks for a decision, as he is not capable of travelling to London. Encloses a letter from Captain John Drew concerning his injury in a fall.
