Folios 568-569: Thomas Dundas, HMS Weazle, the Nore. While waiting on Vice Admiral Buckner he received orders for trying Denis Foreman, Acting Carpenter, by a Court Martial for contemptuous behaviour described in his letter of 18 October. He was suspended until 7 December when he was reinstated, as he had not had a reply to the letter, and because Lieutenant McKinley had left the ship. He has since behaved properly. He asks for the order for the Court Martial to be revoked.
Folio 570: enclosure with folios 568-569 dated 1 January 1796 signed by Thomas Dundas, Captain, and David Foreman, Carpenter, HMS Weazle, the Nore. Defects of HMS Weazle. Considerable damage and decay described including damage caused when struck by a merchant vessel at Shields. The bottom is in need of inspection for possible damage caused when she struck the Longsand.
