Folios 513-514: William O'B Drury, HMS Powerful, Spithead. Thomas Bryers, Boatswain, is absent without leave but has sent word that he is confined by ill health. He is incapable as a seaman and had been forced out of HMS Monmouth for incapacity and neglect. He asks for another Boatswain to be appointed in his place. Thomas Hillman, Boatswain's Mate has done the duty of Boatswain.
