Folios 509-510: William O'B Drury, HMS Powerful, Spithead. He describes in details the location, soundings and bearings of the bank that HMS Powerful had hit after passing the Castle of Orford. There were three Pilots onboard, including one Thomas Gardner, and none of them or any Pilot aty Deal was aware of the bank, but thought it could be the Galloper, the Longsand or the Kentish Knock.
