Folios 152-153: John Dick, HMS Majestic, Spithead. He has returned to Portsmouth from Antigua as a passenger on HMS Majestic. He was Commander of HMS Bulldog, by order of Admiral Sir John Laforey, Bart. Commander in Chief of the Leeward Island Station and has been superceded at Island Tortola by Lieutenant Thomas Goddard by order of Rear Admiral Sir Hugh Christian. When his health recovers he will preceed to London to present his case for being entitled to the rank of Commander, as he took up his appointment on the death of Captain Fownes and was in command in very active service for 4 months.
