Folios 140-141: Thomas Dewey, Exeter Naval Rendezvous. He has visited Exmouth, Teignmouth, Beer, Seton and other small villages on the coast to ascertain the best way of recruiting men for gunboats and fire vessels. He has spoken to Pilots, Fishermen and Stone boat men, some of whom might be willing to volunteer for the defence of the coast, despite having protection due to their usefullness. He will discuss with Captain Bradby how best to proceed.
