Folio 78: H.D.Derby, [Henry D'Esterre Darby], HMS Bellerophon in Cowsand Bay. Insufficient essence of spruce has been provided for the fumigating of ships at St Domingo. The concentrated vitiolic acid and nitric have not arrived. Admiral Sir Richard King has reported on the accident HMS Regulus has suffered.

Folio 81: enclosure with folio 78. List of ships supplied with essence of spruce, concentrated vitiriolic acid and nitric for fumigation according to the method of Dr C. Smyth. HMS Bellerophon, HMS Alexander, HMS Powerful , HMS Regulus and HMS Maidstone. A supply of these substances has been ordered for ships in the Leeward Islands. Essence of spruce will be forwarded to Portsmouth this evening.
