Folios 459-460: James Douglas, HMS Saturn, Spithead. Lists his Officers; 1st Lieutenant Killwick, 2nd Lieutenant Robert Hughes, 4th Lieutenant Johnston, 6th Lieutenant Waring. Had an order to discharge Admiral Vandeput and his retinue onto HMS Powerful three days ago. Asks to appoint Mr Waring, the Signal Lieutenant as 4th Lieutenant because he wasn’t ordered to discharge him. And Lieutenant Charles Johnstone 5th as Lieutenant Henry Waring is older and as HMS Saturn was always a flag ship under his command.
