Description

Folios 438-439: James Douglas, HMS Saturn, Portsmouth. Sends enclosed letter from Mr Townsend, the Chaplin, HMS Saturn. Asks could Andrew Callage be appointed Chaplin to HMS Saturn.

Folios 440-441: enclosed in folios 438-439. Letter dated 8 March 1795 by Thomas Townsend, Chaplin, HMS Saturn to Captain Douglas. Seeks permission to resign his commission so he can put his private affairs in order.
