Description

Folios 409-410: Captain Sir Ross Donnelly, HMS Pegasus, Spithead. Sends enclosed letter from Sir Charles Knowles requesting Rose Fuller his acting Boatswain be appointed Master as John Baily, Master has been discharged so debilitated, he is not fit to serve on an active ship.

Folio 411: enclosed in folios 409-410. Letter dated 1 October 1795 by Evan Nepean, Secretary of the Admiralty, Admiralty Office, to Captain Sir Charles Knowles, HMS Edgar, Leith. Replies to his letter of 28 September recommending Rose [Ross?] Fuller, late Boatswain, HMS Pegasus to be appointed Boatswain of a small frigate. Says he will be considered when an opportunity arises.
