Folios 201-202: Thomas Dewey, Exeter Regulating Officer. Reports the warrant he’s issued with to survey certain vessels under the late act of Parliament is limited to a distance of ten miles however he is the nearest Regulating Officer to Teignmouth, sixteen miles away, which also has an inland navigation with a considerable number of vessels as described in the act. Seeks directions as to whether he shall go there. Says he is continuing with Exeter.
