Description

Folios 191-192: Thomas Dewey, Exeter Regulating Officer. Says he will send Thomas Williams, alias Joseph Richardson, deserter from the 129th Regiment, presently in Exeter goal to serve in the Navy as directed by the Secretary of War, letter 13 June.

Folios 193-194: enclosed in folios 191-192. Captain Thomas Dewey, Exeter Regulating Officer, 2 July 1795. Acknowledges letter 27 June. Says he will survey the barges and other vessels required to be registered by the recent act of Parliament. Reports he has discharged the Lieutenant he employed to raise men as he has completed his quota.

Folios 195-196: enclosed in folios 191-192. Captain Thomas Dewey, Exeter Regulating Officer, 20 June 1795. Says he will comply with the order, letter 18th June enclosing copy of War Office act to supply men for the Navy with men from the Militia.

Folios 197-198: enclosed in folios 191-192. Captain Thomas Dewey, Exeter Regulating Officer, 25 June 1795. Says he will comply with the Order of Council in their letter, 23 June.

Folios 199-200: enclosed in folios 191-192. Captain Thomas Dewey, Exeter Regulating Officer, 28 June 1795. Acknowledges letter 25 June containing twelve copies of the Order of Council for continuing the Bounties to Seamen. He’ll comply.
