Folios 155-156: Maurice Delgarno, HMS Leander, Portsmouth. Sends the letter he has received from Lieutenant Mansel Philipps, HMS Leander stating his very ill health. Assures the Board of his most deplorable situation, concurring with the gentleman, agreeing to his immediate return to Bath. Requests the favor of their Lordships ordering a replacement Lieutenant.
Folios 157-158: enclosed in folios 155-156. Letter dated 4 August 1795 by Lieutenant Richard Mansel Philipps, HMS Leander to Captain Delgano. Requesting another Lieutenant is appointed in his stead. He i’s unwell and cannot do his duty. Been the same for several months, having been appointed to a ship with an anxious with to serve which induced him to quit Bath where he was under the care of a Physician.
