Folios 135-136: Michael de Courcy, HMS Magnanime, Plymouth. Acknowledging letter 20 November accompanying a copy of a letter from Captain Dickson. Says he’ is honored by the Commissioners decision about his representations on John Bull. His only desire was to see the ship manned and in a state of service. He could not omit Captain Dickson’s name saying that John Bull’s application was made before he was appointed and the dates on the letters will show he acted properly.
