Folios 129-130: Michael de Courcy, HMS Magnanime, Plymouth. Received their letter of 31st October today asking which of HMS Pearl’s Warrant Officers are deserving of promotion. Recommends; Thomas Dickson, Gunner, having a thorough knowledge of his profession, sobriety and a vigilance from which he never slept. John Luke, Carpenter, who'se extremely careful and he should always be happy to have as his Carpenter.
