Folios 158-159: Edmond Dod, HMS Dictator, Fort Royal Bay, Martinique. Reporting his arrival at Barbados where he received an order from Sir John Jervisto join him immediately at Matiniquewehere Point Peter had been attacked and Grandtair taken. I have been ordered to England with trade in October. The state and conditions of the several forts on the coast of Africa and the papers concerning them are so large that he cannot send them by packe but will bring them himself.
