Folios 156-157: Edmond Dod, HMS Dictator, Funchall Road, Madeira. He reported that he chased the French frigate Le Tribune but failed to capture her. He understands from captured French officer that she cruises from Cape Portugal to Rock of Lisbon. He will be loading wine and water before sailing. He reports that inflammetary broke out on board before he left Plymouth Sound and had to send 23 men to hospital and 3 men died on passage here.
