Folios 173-174: Edmund Dod. Covering sheet for enclosures in respect of his letter dated 4 August 1793. This is noted in pencil by the Admiralty that the letter itself is missing.
Folios 175-184: enclosure with folios 173-174. Edmund Dod and Archibald Dalzel. State and condition report on Cape Coast Castle as at 27 February 1793. List of the garrison, serviceable men slaves [77], showing names, age and employment, and serviceable women slaves [81], showing age, employment and number of children they had. Also lists unserviceable men slaves [8] and unserviceable women slaves [7]. In addition, provides a disposition of the ordnance, lists the ordnance store, canoes and soldiers arms and clothing stores. The final pages of the report give observations on the inner and outer parts of the castle and states the trade is in slaves, ivory and gold dust, which is very inconsiderable owing to internal disputes among the natives.

Petition form the Merchants and Planters of St Christopher's to strengthen the convoy by adding two additional ships to those already appointed to assist the ships at anchor in Bassterre Roads to protect their valuable property worth four million sterling. Singed by seventy three traders.
