Folios 702-703: Philippe D'Auvergne, Duke de Bouillon, Jersey. Reports that the principal boat employed on the confidential service under the direction of the Secretary of State was wrecked on the Coast of Low Bretagne in a gale and requests a replacement is constructed. All the crew, who are natives of the Island, have returned safely. The Master of the boat, with great presence of mind, instructed them to say they were deserters from the squadron of boats and they have traversed the greater part of the Province of Bretagne, staying clear of the guards and patrols.
