Description

Folios 668-669: John Davie, HMS Favorite, Cove, Plymouth. Request to appoint George Cracknell, HMS Narcissus to the post of Boatswain as William Ramsey was surveyed at Cork, discharged from the ship and sent to sick quarters. Encloses an order from Rear Admiral William O'Brien to George Cracknell, Yeoman of the Sheets, appointing him Acting Boatswain on HMS Favorite.

Folios 670-671: enclosure with folios 668-669. Letter dated 28 April 1805 by Rear Admiral William O'Brien, HMS Trent, Cork Harbour to George Cracknell, Yeoman of the Sheets, HMS Narcissus. Warrant appointing him to be Acting Boatswain on HMS Favorite in place of William Ramsey, who was discharged to sick quarters.
