Description

Folios 621-622: John Davies HMS Otter, off Buchanness [Buchan Ness]. Regarding the impressment of men from whale boats.

Folios 623-624: enclosure with folios 621-622. John Head, to the Admiralty, undated. The case of William Smith, a crew member of the Resolution Greenland Whale Fishery ship.

Folios 625-626: enclosure with folios 621-622. John Head, to the Admiralty, undated. The case of William Smith, a crew member of the Resolution Greenland Whale Fishery ship.

Folios 627-628: enclosure with folios 621-622. Letter dated 23 July 1805 by Patrick Maxwell and Thomas Parkin, Custom House, Whitby. The following crew of the Resolution Greenland Whale Fishery ship: John Varby, David Sherwood, James Miller, Francis Dennis, William Smith, William Judge, Robert Francis and John Barker all gave security to serve on the Resolution.

Folios 629-630: enclosure with folios 621-622. Letter dated 23 July 1805 by William Scoresby, master of the Resolution. Asks for the release of his crew.
