Folios 587-588: John Davies, HMS Otter, Shields. Reports the discharge of Charles Martinson as ordered by Rear Admiral Rowley.
Folios 589-590: enclosure with folios 587-588. Letter dated 28 June 1805 by John Newall, London to the Admiralty. Requests the discharge of Charles Martinson, an apprentice to Samuel Hall of Bridlington. He was sent on board HMS Enterprise by order of the Magistrate of the Thames Police about the 10 June 1805. Around the 14 June 1805 he was on board HMS Zealand and a letter was sent ordering his discharge. However he understands he is now on HMS Otter in Bridlington Bay and no order has gone to the ship to discharge him.
