Folios 585-586: John Davies, HMS Otter, Shields. Request for an order to discharge the five men taken out of the Dundee Greenland ship. They have now produced Protection Certificates stating that they belonged to two ships that were left behind in Shetland, a fac r he was not aware of when he detained them. States that he will sail immediately if they are agreeable in hope of falling in with some of the Greenland Ships before they land their unprotected men.
