Folios 571-572: John Davies, HMS Otter, Shields. Reports on 1 June 1805, he impressed three men, Jonathan Mason, Cooper; John Harland, Carpenter's Mate and William Sanderson, on board the Experiment of Whitby and encloses a threatening letter he has received concerning them.
Folios 573-574: enclosure with folios 571-572. Letter dated 5 July 1805 by A Chapman, Bank Whitby to Commander of HMS Otter, North Shields. Request for discharge of three impressed men, Jonathan Mason, Cooper; John Harland, Carpenter; and William Sanderson, Seaman, all belonging to the ship Experiment, which is owned by a Minor and Ward of Chancery. States they are Greenlandsmen and are subject to Act of Parliament Protection.
